Déchirer

An icon of contemporary
ceramic design

Designed by Patricia Urquiola, the Déchirer collection was launched in 2008 and marked a turning point in the world of designer ceramic tiles.

Thanks to continuous technology, Mutina succeeded in creating large modular slabs of unglazed porcelain stoneware, while maintaining a strong ceramic identity. Suitable for floors and walls, both indoors and outdoors.

Its most distinctive feature lies in the subtle bas-reliefs that run across the surface almost imperceptibly. Far from being a purely decorative element, these marks add depth and character to the material.

The collection offers pieces in rectangular, square, and hexagonal formats, expanding compositional possibilities. Its color palette, based on neutral tones such as white, grey, graphite, black, and raw, allows for the creation of balanced, contemporary, and timeless spaces.

The collection is expanded with the Decor “Déchirer XL” series, a large-format version (1×3 m) with an ultra-thin thickness of just 3 mm, reinforced with fiberglass on the back of the slabs.

DecorDéchirer XL” is ideal for unique and bespoke projects.

Considered one of Mutina’s most iconic collections, Déchirer remains a benchmark in ceramic design, reaffirming its relevance and its ability to reinterpret material with sensitivity and precision.
