Terramater

Terramater is the latest addition to the Crogiolo series, a visually rich offering that stands out for its sustainable approach and strong connection to ceramic tradition.

The collection features a palette of seven intense, deep colors, born from the interplay between glazes and natural oxides. This fusion creates surfaces full of nuances that evoke the aesthetic of 1970s ceramics. Terramater not only draws inspiration from that era but also reinterprets its original formats, reviving classic dimensions with a contemporary twist.

Material, texture, and design
for compositions with character

The Terramater collection offers interior designers a versatile tool for projects with a strong material identity. Its modular formats — one square and two rectangles based on 37.5 cm — allow endless compositional combinations, encouraging creativity in floors and wall coverings with high visual impact.

Terramater surfaces are notable for their three-dimensional structures and rich tactile quality. In the Ritmo version, the parallel stripe design in a rectangular format creates a dynamic and vibrant surface: the three-dimensional ridges, glazed in toasted sienna, interact with light to accentuate shine and texture, creating a visual play of contrasts.

The Losanga model, in turn, brings back the elegance of classical motifs. Here, red enamel reliefs gently emerge on the surface, creating a decorative effect that blends tradition and innovation with refined subtlety.

Terramater not only represents an aesthetic and technical advancement but also pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the single firing patent developed by Marazzi in 1974 — a milestone that forever transformed contemporary ceramic production.
