The Crogiolo collection by MARAZZI is a tribute to the authenticity of the ceramics created by craftsmen, and at the same time an expression of the most advanced technology in the production of porcelain stoneware.
In other words, high-tech craftsmanship in a small format, which is now available from DURAN. Highly brilliant glazes, tactile and chromatic vibrations, irregular brushstrokes, old-fashioned decorations… the soul of handmade work maintained through a product of sophisticated technology.

The CROGIOLO project is made up of seven series; Lume, Zellige, Scenario, D_Segni Blend, D_Segni Scaglie, D_Segni Colore and D_Segni, all of which interpret the ceramists’ artisan know-how in a contemporary key.
LUME
Thanks to a new production technology and an in-depth study of glazes and colour, it reinterprets in stoneware the beauty of handmade majolica bricks, with a thick layer of glaze, imperfect and extremely shiny. Lume introduces a new format, the 6×24 in six shades; white, black, green, blue, musk and grey.
SCENARIO
A historical collection selected from the Marazzi archive. The series is inspired by the historic “I Pennellati” collection, designed by Venerio Martini in the late 1950s for Marazzi. Two very different but combinable surfaces, one semi-matt in three colours; bianco, nero and blu, and the other ultra-glossy – with the same colours plus grigio and azzurro. Its tone-on-tone brushstrokes reveal the charm of the majolica tiles typical of Mediterranean architecture.
ZELLIGE
Zellige also features a handcrafted effect and a smooth, glossy surface finish with specially created irregularities on each of the 10 x 10 cm tiles. The product features a highly accentuated tonal degradation, with more than seventy different graphics and shades for each of the twelve colours, guaranteeing an infinite number of compositional possibilities.
D_SEGNI BLEND
Six shades, two formats, a blending effect background and sixteen themes for the Decoro Mix. In D_Segni Blend, the mix of shades creates chromatic alternations. The graphic design reproduces the extra matt effect with sponges and the dynamism of handmade hydraulic tiles. Stepwise technology softens the technical performance to the touch.
D_SEGNI COLORE
Retro charm reinterpreted in a contemporary key. D_Segni Colore is articulated in three powdery shades with a full background. Four decorative elements and a decoration composed of fifteen Tappeti enrich the collection of these coloured hydraulic tiles.
D_SEGNI SCAGLIE
Inspired by the Seminato Veneziano, D_Segni Scaglie features marble fragments inside that create luminous effects on the surface. Available in six shades in combination with seven Tappeto decorations and a Decoro Mix made with fifteen different patterns.
D_SEGNI
A mixture of suggestions and great transversality in the D_ Segni collection, which reinterprets in 20 x 20 cm stoneware the charm of the historical handmade hydraulic tiles. Seven colours and eighteen contemporary graphic designs to create welcoming surfaces and coverings.
CONFETTO
The surface of Confetto is semi-opaque, “sugary” and smooth to the touch. The 3D Savoiardo 5×15 structure, on the other hand, is available in all 12 colours and is inspired by the historic Canne d’Organo collection that Nino Caruso designed for Marazzi in the early seventies.
