White Tulip is the first complete bathroom series designed entirely by Philippe Starck.

“My collaboration with Duravit always naturally leaned towards minimalist and timeless designs. Yet, I realized that perhaps something was missing in this perfection, a feeling of positive nostalgia.
Instead of creating totally timeless pieces, I wanted the White Tulip collection to express more human time; either an ancient collection that would have been modern at the time or a modern collection that evokes the past.

T H E C O L L E C T I O N
The defining feature the series is its sculptural character inspired by the shape of an open tulip.
The White Tulip freestanding monolith cabinet washbasin, available
with a wall or floor connection is especiallly evocative.
Designed in the same style, the round countertop washbasin stands out for its aesthetic shaped edge, slightly tilted outward. The rectangular washbasin also takes this shape as seen from above. It is available in two sizes, also as a furniture washbasin. A washbasin, also available in a furniture version, completes the White Tulip range.
The sophisticated White Tulip ceramics in the standing and suspended toilets, bidet, and urinal matching the collection, are complemented by new HygieneFlush discharge technology. This innovative built-in wash efficiently cleans the entire interior surface of the toilet. The perfectly designed water flow creates a vortex that guarantees an ideal flush at all times using just 4.5 liters of water.

For even greater hygiene, all new HygieneFlush toilets come equipped, by default, with HygieneGlaze ceramic glazing. Applied inside the toilet, HygieneGlaze removes 90% of bacteria at six o’clock (e.g., E. coli) and 99.9% approx. at midnight.
The matching furniture is as elegant and refined as the whole series. The finely crafted beveled corners highlight White Tulip furniture’s precise finishes. The furniture and its respective high cabinets, with two or three glass shelves, is available in five, high-quality solid colors with a glossy or satin finish.
Alternatively, you can opt for a front piece in solid wood (natural oak or American walnut).
The satin surfaces have a specific feature: thanks to its special lacquer and anti-fingerprint coating, any small scratches practically “disappear” by themselves, leaving the furniture like new.
The striking optional chrome handle offers an interesting design that creates a contrast on different surfaces. The drawers have a self-closing system. The handleless version is equipped with easy to use tip-on technology with just a slight pressure.
A combined round washbasin with corresponding lower cabinet, available in all White Tulip furniture finishes, offers more practical storage space. The shelf colors can also be chosen.
Another special element is the chrome standing console with wooden shelves that can be equipped with one or two side towel racks.
The illuminated drawers turn on and off automatically when opening and closing.
White Tulip series mirrors are available with a sensor or app. The protruding mirror creates an interesting optical effect, making the surface around the light look almost transparent.
The intensity of the memory effect light can be controlled and synchronized with other points of light in the house connected through the Casambi app, a leading home automation control system. The mirrors can be dimmed and the anti-fog heating turned on or off.
The seamless acrylic-coated freestanding bathtub keeps the shape of the ceramics. The oval version is available in two sizes: 1800×800 mm and 1600×900 mm for smaller spaces. The round, 1400 mm-diameter bathtub is very spacious.
White Tulip is Philippe Starck’s first series of faucets designed for Duravit. The common design element is the tulip-shaped knob, which echos the silhouettes of the washbasins and bathtubs, and whose finely polished surface is particularly easy and pleasant to use. The 160 engraved vertical fine lines also give it a distinctively noble look. The basin faucets are available in different comfort heights: S, M and XL. There are also bidet, shower and bathtub faucets.
