DURAN attended the meeting with the
“Cluster for the Ecological Transition of the Balearic Islands”
On January 27th, a meeting was held between teaching and research staff from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and the companies that make up the Cluster for the Ecological Transition of the Balearic Islands.
At this first meeting, ten research groups from the UIB presented their projects and lines of work to more than fifteen companies of the cluster in order to promote the transfer of knowledge and research results from the UIB to the business sector.
DURAN presented “The invisible photovoltaic tile” an innovative proposal for the capture and emission of electrical energy from traditional clay tiles with photovoltaic plates hidden inside. A solution that protects the aesthetics in historical and new constructions with a traditional style.
During the day, a gray water regeneration station “EcoStep PRO”, was also presented, a great source of water savings through its reuse that had great interest for its regeneration capacity for large or consumption installations.
During the event, a networking session was held with the aim of generating synergies and establishing possible collaborations focused on the development of sustainable energy projects and other initiatives related to the ecological and energy transition of the Balearic Islands.
